Review status

A quick data-confidence checklist across this chart — flag a box from its edit screen, then come back here to see everything that still needs a look.

Succession risk

Every role with people reporting to it, and nobody set as its backup — a single point of failure if that person is out. Set a backup for a role from its edit screen (Ops · Backup for).

Connector lines

Shared trunk is the classic org-chart look: one line down from a manager, branching to their reports.

Snap & align

Snapping lines boxes up with their neighbours as you drag, with a guide showing the match.

Density

Tightens or loosens spacing across the whole app and the boxes on the canvas.

Contrast

Tapping empty space

Use the + button to add a box whichever setting you pick.

Badges on every box

Applies to every box in this chart and to new ones you add. You can still override a single box in its own settings.

Page setup (for PDF & print)

Choosing Letter or A4 lays the chart out on a real page with margins, so the PDF looks like a document rather than a tight crop.

Data formats

CSV and Excel carry every field, so a chart can be edited in a spreadsheet and imported back. Mermaid and Draw.io open in those tools as editable diagrams.

Share a link

The whole chart is packed into the link, so it works without an account. Photos make links very long, so they are left out — and personal notes are always left out, since this is what you hand to other people.

Backup

PDF opens the print sheet — choose "Save to Files" or "Save as PDF" to keep a crisp vector copy. SVG is a scalable vector file you can open or edit elsewhere. Export JSON is your own full copy, personal notes included — use Share a link instead when handing a chart to someone else.

Colour sets

The set you pick here fills the colour swatches everywhere in the app. Sets are saved on this device and apply to every chart.

Your sets

Build a new set

“From a picture” reads a logo or photo and pulls out the colours it actually uses — you can then delete any you don’t want before saving.

Your Supabase project

Set once per device, from the same project on both.

Sign in the same way on every device and your charts follow you.

Email works everywhere, no account needed. No codes to copy.

Webhook

Optional. Every time a chart changes, the whole chart is POSTed as JSON to this address. No account or OAuth, just a URL.

One-time setup

Do this once, on either device. It’s free and needs no card.

  1. Go to supabase.com, sign up, and create a project. Any name, any region, free plan. Wait for it to finish setting up.
  2. In the project, open Project Settings → API. Copy the Project URL and the anon public key into the two fields above, then tap Save project details. Direct links to the remaining pages will appear.
  3. Tap SQL Editor above, paste the SQL from the button below, press Run. It should say Success.
  4. Only if you want Google/Apple/Facebook sign-in: open Authentication → Providers, turn on each one, and follow that provider's own setup instructions there (each needs an app registration in its own developer console — Google Cloud Console, Apple Developer, or Meta for Developers). Under Authentication → URL Configuration, add https://jump4joy1.github.io/Org-Charts-/ for the web app and com.orgchartbuilder.app://auth-callback for the iPhone/Android app as Redirect URLs.
  5. Come back here and tap Google, Apple, or Facebook — or enter your email and tap Email me a sign-in code, then paste back whatever the email gives you, a code or the link.
  6. On your other device: same URL, same key, same sign-in method. That is the whole thing — no separate "sync" button, it stays in step on its own.

Editing the email template is optional. The app accepts the stock sign-in link as well as a code.

Your charts live in your own Supabase project — not mine, and not on any server I control. Only your signed-in account can read them. Signing out leaves this device’s charts untouched.
